1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of our website www.vedmarg.com, the Vedmarg web panel at account.vedmarg.com, the Vedmarg mobile apps and related services (the "Services"), provided by Menace Techdost Services Private Limited ("Vedmarg", "we", "us").
By creating an account, signing in or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
- If you accept on behalf of a school, college, institute or other organisation (an "Institution"), you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.
- Students, parents and staff ("Users") get access through their Institution and must follow these Terms and their Institution's rules.
2. Accounts and access
- Give accurate information when signing up and keep it up to date, including the mobile number used for OTPs and account security.
- Keep usernames, passwords and OTPs confidential and do not share accounts. Activity under an account is treated as activity of that account's holder.
- The Institution decides who gets access and with which permissions, and must remove access for people who leave.
- Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Plans, add-ons and payment
- Plans: each plan and add-on (such as biometric attendance or WhatsApp messaging) has the features, limits and validity shown when it is purchased or activated. A free plan, if offered, may have limited features, and we may change what it includes.
- Fees: paid plans and add-ons are billed in advance in Indian Rupees, plus applicable taxes. Usage-based services such as SMS and WhatsApp messages are charged at the applicable rates and may need prepaid balance or credits.
- Renewal: plans must be renewed before they expire. After expiry, access may be limited until renewal; the Institution's data is kept as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
- Price changes apply from the next renewal, and we will tell you before they take effect.
- Devices: biometric devices bought from us are covered by section 4.
4. Biometric devices
We sell biometric attendance devices, made by manufacturers such as eSSL, as a reseller. We receive your payment, and our supplier delivers the device to you through a courier partner.
- Prices and payment: device prices are in Indian Rupees as shown on the product page or in your quotation. GST and shipping charges are shown at checkout or in the quotation. Payment is made in full, in advance.
- Availability: if a device becomes unavailable after you pay, we will offer you a suitable alternative or a full refund.
- Delivery and damaged items: see our Shipping Policy.
- Returns, cancellations and refunds: see section 14 of our Refund Policy.
- Installation and integration: not included in the device price. Integration with Vedmarg runs through a cloud server, which has a separate annual maintenance charge (AMC). Installation and AMC charges are shown in your quotation. Once the AMC is active, the device is connected to your Vedmarg account.
Warranty
Devices carry the manufacturer's warranty. The warranty period depends on the model and is shown on the product page, invoice or warranty card.
To make a warranty claim, contact us. We coordinate with our supplier and the manufacturer's service centre, who decide whether to repair or replace the device.
The warranty does not cover:
- physical damage, liquid damage, or damage caused by electrical surges or an incorrect power supply;
- devices opened, repaired or modified by anyone other than the manufacturer or its authorised service centre;
- misuse, or normal wear and tear; or
- accessories and consumables, unless the manufacturer states otherwise.
Shipping costs for warranty repairs may be charged according to the supplier's or manufacturer's terms.
